About me

Hi, I am Chris and I am violinist, violin teacher and blogger(link of the blog-highlight). I have studied the violin at the Athens Conservatory, the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and The Guildhall School of Music and Drama. My teachers include Simon Fischer, Christoph Poppen and Hagai Shaham (Links for everyone). At the Guildhall School I have studied ‘Performance Teaching’ where I got acquainted with the latest approaches in teaching. I have extensive performing and teaching experience. I have been a member of the World Youth Orchestra, the Mahler Youth Orchestra and since 2005 I have been a permanent member of the Athens State Orchestra. I have taught the violin in Greece and the Uk for the last fifteen yers both privately and in music schools.
